Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of supplying and delivering diesel fuel in accordance with the attached specifications to Umphumulo Hospital and associated clinics within the Maphumulo district. The goal is to ensure a reliable supply of diesel for operational needs, adhering to quality standards and timely delivery requirements.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of 4,000 liters of diesel fuel as per the attached specifications.
• Delivery of diesel to Umphumulo Hospital and seven clinics in the Maphumulo district.
• Provision of diesel on an ad-hoc basis, with delivery within 48 hours of request.
• Supply period beginning from the order date until 31 March 2027.
• Compliance with all relevant standards including SABS, SANS, SANAS, and SAQCC.
• Provision of proof of registration as a fuel supplier or trader, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the diesel fuel include:

• Compliance with SABS, SANS, SANAS, and SAQCC standards.
• Delivery via a registered vehicle designed specifically for fuel transfer, equipped with a pump, hose, and nozzle with automatic cut-off.
• Use of calibrated meters to measure liters transferred.
• Provision of a purity certificate of diesel at the time of delivery.
• Delivery to be made within 48 hours of request.
• Supply to seven designated clinics in Maphumulo.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Registration as a fuel supplier or trader, with proof submitted with the tender.
• Capability to deliver diesel on an ad-hoc basis within specified timeframes.
• Experience in handling and transferring diesel fuel safely and in compliance with relevant standards.
• Provision of well-maintained, compliant fuel delivery vehicles.
• Ability to provide accurate measurement and documentation of fuel transfer, including calibration and purity certificates.
• Compliance with safety signage and environmental regulations during fuel transfer operations.
