Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified and experienced service provider to supply, deliver, install, and commission blinds and window tinting/film across various locations within Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT). The scope includes all necessary labour, materials, fittings, accessories, transport, tools, and equipment to ensure professional standard installation and functionality of the products.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Supply, delivery, and installation of vertical blinds suitable for office and educational environments at specified locations such as the Maintenance Department Passage, Department of Mathematics and Sciences, Electrical Engineering Boardroom, Department of Office Technology, Civil Engineering Offices, Mechanical Engineering Offices, Department of Office Technology, Maintenance Department Passage, Department of Mathematics and Sciences, and Department of Biomedical Sciences.
• Supply and installation of window tinting and privacy films at designated sites.
• Testing, adjustment, and commissioning of all installed products.
• Provision of warranties on supplied components and films at no additional cost.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Vertical blinds must be strong, durable, and of commercial-grade quality, suitable for office and educational environments.
• Blinds should be block-out blue and sandblast frosted privacy window film.
• All products must meet aesthetic and functional standards.
• Window tinting must include privacy films as specified.
• Installation must adhere to professional standards, including testing, adjustment, and commissioning.
• Warranty coverage for a minimum of 12 months on workmanship and materials.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in supplying and installing blinds and window tinting, with relevant project references of similar scope and nature.
• Technical expertise in handling durable, commercial-grade blinds and window films.
• Capability to manage all aspects of installation, including site assessment, testing, and commissioning.
• Compliance with safety, quality, and professional standards.
• Ability to provide a workmanship warranty and after-sales support.
