Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of cleaning materials to Umgeni Hospital, ensuring the hospital is adequately stocked with necessary cleaning supplies.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of various cleaning materials including garbage bags, dishwashing liquid, deodorant blocks, floor polish and stripper, insecticide spray, steel wool scourers, and other related cleaning products. The contract is a once-off supply and delivery arrangement to Umgeni Hospital located in KwaZulu-Natal, with specified quantities and specifications as detailed in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Suppliers must provide goods that meet the detailed specifications outlined in the annexure forms, including size, material, color, and standard compliance (e.g., SABS/SANS standards).
• Samples of each item must be submitted upon request and must conform to the specified standards.
• All products must be new, unused, and of the latest models, free from defects, and comply with relevant standards.
• Delivery must be completed within the specified delivery period, with goods properly packed to prevent damage during transit.
• All documentation, including invoices and delivery notes, must be submitted as per contractual requirements.
• Goods must be insured against loss or damage during transit and storage.

Skills Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate capacity to deliver the specified quantities within the stipulated timeframe.
• Ability to provide samples and meet quality standards as specified in the annexure forms.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, including compliance with statutory and institutional requirements.
• Capability to prepare and submit accurate and complete documentation, including pricing, specifications, and preference claim forms.
• Understanding of health and safety standards related to the handling and transportation of cleaning materials.
• Experience in supplying to healthcare facilities and familiarity with hospital procurement processes.
