Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations from qualified service providers for the supply and delivery of fresh meats for a duration of one month, as detailed in the RFQ. The aim is to ensure the procurement of high-quality meats that meet specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various types of fresh meats, including beef, mutton, lamb, and pork, with specific grades, weights, sizes, and packaging requirements. The delivery is to be made to Ushaka Marine World within the stipulated timeframe, adhering to the detailed specifications provided in the RFQ.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of specific meat types such as T-bone steaks, rump steaks, fillet steaks, sirloin, ribeye, hamburger patties, mince, and offal, all portioned and packed according to the specifications.
• Meats must meet the specified grades (e.g., AAA222, BBB333, B2, B3) and be packed individually or in specified quantities.
• Meats should be fresh, clean, and conform to the quality standards outlined in the RFQ.
• Delivery must be timely and in accordance with the operational requirements of Ushaka Marine World.
• All products must comply with health and safety standards applicable to food safety and hygiene.

Skills Requirements

• Registered service providers with valid registration on the Central Supplier Database and eThekwini Supplier Portal.
• Capability to meet technical specifications for various meat types, grades, and packaging standards.
• Experience in the supply and delivery of perishable food items, particularly fresh meats.
• Compliance with tax and legal requirements, including valid tax clearance, TCC, and CSD registration.
• Ability to provide documentation such as tax compliance certificates, proof of previous supply chain management practices, and relevant certifications.
• Effective communication skills for technical enquiries and coordination with Ushaka Marine World staff.
