Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply general plumbing supplies through the supply and delivery of specified goods to the municipality. The process aims to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of plumbing materials to meet the municipality's operational needs.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of general plumbing supplies as specified in the tender documents.
• Delivery to the municipality stores at Floryn Street, Marias Industrial, Vredenburg within 14 days after official order issuance.
• Provision of supplies on a per-item basis, including delivery charges.
• Adherence to specifications and submission of compliant quotations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for this tender include:

• Suppliers must submit quotations on their business letterhead, clearly indicating prices per item or bill of quantities.
• All delivery charges must be included in the quoted prices.
• Items must conform to the specifications stipulated in the tender documents; non-conforming items may lead to additional costs recovery.
• Suppliers must complete, sign, and submit compulsory forms including declaration of interest, preference points claim, and independent bid determination certificates.
• Proof of B-BBEE status, municipal address, and other preference claim documents must be provided.
• All documents and packaging must be clearly marked with the RFQ number.

Skills and Competency Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Compliance with the General Conditions of Contract and procurement policies.
• Active registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and valid municipal accounts or lease agreements for locality claims.
• Ability to supply specified plumbing materials, including PVC fittings such as tees and bends, as per the pricing schedule.
• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timeframe and adhere to quality standards.
• Provision of all relevant documentation to support preference points claims, including B-BBEE certificates and affidavits where applicable.
