Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of 600x450x45 polymer type 9D manhole covers, including frames, with specified force resistance, weight, and key features such as branding. The contract covers the supply, delivery, and associated technical compliance for the specified quantity, as detailed in the technical specifications and pricing schedule.

Technical Requirements

• Manhole covers measuring 600x450x45 mm, polymer type 9D.
• Force resistance/load rating between 40 kN and 50 kN (commonly 40 kN).
• Weight: approximately 23.2 kg for the cover, 11.6 kg for the frame, totaling approximately 34.8 kg to 40 kg.
• Manufactured from iron with branding features.
• Compliance with minimum specifications, including load capacity and durability.
• Prices must be VAT inclusive, and VAT registration details must be provided.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registered on the Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database.
• Valid B-BBEE Status Level verification certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Tax compliance status, including SARS registration and PIN, must be provided.
• Proof of municipal account (not older than 60 days) confirming property ownership or lease agreements if property is leased.
• Completion of all mandatory forms including declaration of interest, past supply chain management practices, and independent bid determination.
• Understanding and compliance with technical specifications and contractual conditions.
• Capability to deliver within the specified delivery period and adhere to quality standards.
