Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of concealed mixers (re-advertised) for Umgeni Hospital, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and procurement policies. The aim is to obtain suitable, compliant products through a competitive process that considers price, preference goals, and technical conformity.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of concealed mixers as specified in the tender documentation. It includes providing the required quantities (as per documentation), adhering to specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. The procurement process involves evaluation of administrative compliance, technical conformity, price, preference points, and submission of samples where applicable.

Technical Requirements

• The mixer must be a concealed type suitable for operation and control of water supply for bathing of mental health users.
• Compliance with the detailed specifications outlined in Annexure A, including size, colour, material, and quality standards such as SABS approval.
• The mixer should be new, unused, and conform to the latest models with all recent design improvements.
• Suppliers must provide samples for inspection and testing if required.
• The product must meet the specified quality standards and conform to SANAS/SABS specifications.
• Delivery must be made within the agreed period, with proper packing to prevent damage during transit.
• All documentation, including invoices and delivery notes, must comply with the specified requirements.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate capacity to supply and deliver the specified concealed mixers in accordance with technical specifications.
• Provision of samples for technical evaluation and compliance testing.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines and provide after-sales support, including warranty services.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, preference points system, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Experience in supplying similar medical or hospital equipment is advantageous.
• Competence in completing and submitting all mandatory documentation, including preference claim forms, declaration forms, and compliance certificates.
