Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply patient toiletries, including items such as baby powder, deodorant, and shampoo, to Umgeni Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure the hospital has a reliable and timely supply of these essential personal care products for patients.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of specified toiletries items on a once-off basis. The items include:

• Baby Powder 400ml
• Deodorant Male 120ml
• Shampoo Hair 350ml

The delivery must be made to Umgeni Hospital, Old Main Road, Howick, within the stipulated contract period, which is a once-off delivery. The quotation covers the procurement of these goods in the quantities specified in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Items must conform to specified standards and detailed product specifications, including size, packaging, and quality standards.
• Samples of each item (or pictures) must be submitted for approval prior to award.
• Items must be new, unused, and of the most recent models, free from defects, and meet the quality standards specified in the annexure forms.
• Delivery must be timely, complete, and in accordance with the specified delivery period.
• All products must comply with relevant South African standards (SANS/SABS) and specifications.
• Samples or images of the products are mandatory for evaluation.
