Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver disposable dressing packs to Inanda CHC, ensuring the provision of sterile, high-quality dressing packs that meet specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of 900 packets of disposable dressing packs, including their supply, delivery, and compliance with relevant standards and specifications. The delivery is to be made to Inanda Community Health Centre within the stipulated contract period, with adherence to technical and quality requirements.

Technical Requirements

• The dressing packs must be sterile, peel-packed, and conform to the latest SANS 446 standards.
• Each dressing pack should include:
  • 2 hand towels
  • 1 red plastic bag
  • 1 pair of latex-free, non-powdered gloves (size Medium)
  • 2 disposable soft drapes (90x90cm)
  • 5 cleansing swabs (30mm)
  • 10 plain gauze (100mm x 100mm, 8 ply)
  • 2 disposable forceps
• The packs must be packed in a manner that prevents damage during transit, with appropriate labeling and documentation.
• The delivery period should be specified, with a requirement for compliance with the specified standards and specifications.

Skills Requirements

Procuring bidders should possess:

• Technical capability to produce sterile, compliant dressing packs according to national standards (SANS 446).
• Experience in supply chain management and delivery within the healthcare sector.
• Ability to provide samples for evaluation and ensure quality assurance.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, including adherence to the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022 and related legislation.
• Capacity to meet delivery timelines and handle logistical arrangements effectively.
