The primary objective of this tender is to supply and install one automated microtome at the Umtata Histo Lab. The microtome should meet specified technical standards to facilitate precise sectioning of tissue samples, accommodating various tissue consistencies, and ensuring efficient operation within the laboratory environment.
The scope includes the procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a single automated microtome. The supplier is responsible for providing training to operators and supplying an English-language manual. The equipment must be capable of handling tissue blocks of varying consistencies, from soft to hard, and must be delivered within six weeks from contract award.
