Scope

The scope encompasses a single, once-off supply contract covering the following:

• Supply of nine compliant electric stoves delivered to the designated hospital site.
• Inclusion of all transportation, handling, and delivery costs within the quoted price.
• Provision of physical samples for pre-award specification verification.
• Warranty coverage of twelve months from delivery acceptance (or eighteen months from port/place of loading, whichever expires first).
• Full compliance with administrative, financial, and legal prerequisites mandated by South African public procurement legislation.

Evaluation utilizes an 80/20 preference point system, awarding eighty points for competitive pricing and twenty points to enterprises at least fifty-one percent owned by black persons with disabilities. Mandatory submissions include Central Suppliers Database (CSD) registration, tax compliance status, BBBEE sworn affidavits, and completed Standard Bidding Document (SBD) forms.

Technical Requirements

Bidders must supply electric stoves that strictly conform to the following specifications:

• Type & Configuration: Electric stove with four solid plates/burners and adjustable temperature controls.
• Material & Finish: Carbon steel construction with iron cast hot plates; exterior finish must be black.
• Dimensions: Approximately 80 cm height by 62 cm length.
• Quality Standards: Must comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS/SABS). Goods must be brand new, unused, and free from manufacturing or design defects.
• Condition & Validity: Second-hand, refurbished, or expired products are strictly prohibited. All items must retain a minimum product validity of six months from the date of delivery.
• Documentation: Bidders must confirm compliance with each specification parameter, declare country of manufacture, and submit samples when requested.
