Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply 600 units of CVP (Central Venous Pressure) giving sets to RK Khan Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, in accordance with specified standards and specifications, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and associated documentation of CVP giving sets that meet the detailed specifications provided, including monitoring sets with venous pressure Y-injection sites, filters, flow indicators, and sterile packaging, compliant with SANS 1775 standards. The contract is a once-off procurement with a validity period of 90 days from the advertisement date.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of 600 CVP giving sets with the following features:
  • Monitoring set with venous pressure, Y-injection site (minimum length ±45mm, ID ±5mm)
  • Drip volume: 20 drops/ml
  • 170 micron filter, graduated manometer tape
  • 3-way stopcock, flow indicator, sterile tubing (~2m with roller clamp)
  • Compliance with SANS 1775 standards
  • Reference: '011 CVP 01'
• Delivery to RK Khan Hospital, Westcliff, Chatsworth, with documentation and packaging as per specifications.
• Provision of all necessary documentation including full CSD report, BBBEE certificate, SANAS-accredited sworn affidavit, and tax compliance.
• Adherence to the specified standards and specifications attached in the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

• Understanding of medical device specifications and standards, particularly SANS 1775.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, including completion of official forms and compliance documentation.
• Familiarity with the Department of Health’s procurement policies, including preferential procurement regulations (80/20 points system).
• Ability to prepare and submit accurate technical and financial documentation, including CSD reports, BBBEE certificates, and sworn affidavits.
• Capacity to deliver quality products within the specified timeframe and to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Competence in handling contractual obligations, including compliance with GCC and SCC conditions, and managing delivery logistics.
