Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply 18 units of high-visibility EPWP Orange Overall (2-piece) for municipal and public works activities at RK Khan Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, in accordance with specified technical and quality standards.

Scope

The scope includes the supply, delivery, and possibly the fitting of high-visibility orange two-piece overalls comprising jackets and trousers, meeting detailed specifications for fabric, design, branding, and safety features. The garments must be suitable for outdoor municipal work, durable, and conform to safety and visibility standards. Delivery is to be made to RK Khan Hospital’s designated site, with sizes available from S to 5XL, and quantities as per departmental requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of high-visibility orange EPWP workers' two-piece overalls (jacket and trousers).
• Fabric: Polycotton blend (65% Polyester / 35% Cotton), 190–220 GSM, colourfast, durable, breathable, washable.
• Jacket: Full front heavy-duty zip, long sleeves, chest pockets with flaps, reinforced stitching, adjustable cuffs.
• Trousers: Front zip and button, elastic/adjustable waistband, minimum four pockets, reinforced knees, double-stitched seams.
• Branding: EPWP logo embroidered or printed on the back of the jacket (approx. 250–300 mm wide), with high contrast lettering ("EPWP WORKER", 50–80 mm high), fade and wash resistant.
• Reflective Tape: Minimum 50 mm wide, applied on jacket and trousers with horizontal bands around torso, sleeves, and lower legs, complying with SANS visibility requirements.
• Garments must be new, unused, individually packaged, and delivered in sizes S to 5XL.
• Delivery to municipal site, with confirmation of size breakdown prior to delivery.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing or supplying high-visibility safety garments compliant with safety standards.
• Ability to produce garments with industrial stitching, heavy-duty zips, and reflective tape application.
• Capability to provide branding/embroidery or printing as specified.
• Knowledge of relevant safety and quality standards (e.g., SANS, SANAS accreditation).
• Efficient logistics and delivery management to meet departmental timelines.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including submission of valid BBBEE certificates, SANAS accreditation, and SWORN affidavits.
