The primary objective of this tender is to procure a reliable supplier for the provision of specialized adhesive labels to facilitate asset verification processes at RK Khan Hospital, operating under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health.

Scope

The scope covers the supply and delivery of 45 boxes of round, self-adhesive sticker labels. The successful bidder will be responsible for fulfilling the exact quantity and specifications, ensuring timely delivery to the hospital premises, and adhering to all public sector procurement regulations, contractual conditions, and compliance documentation required for government tenders.

Technical Requirements

• Product Specifications: Round, self-adhesive labels in maroon colour, precisely 10 mm in diameter.
• Packaging & Quantity: Each box must contain 700 sticker labels, with a total order of 45 boxes.
• Quality & Standards: Goods must be new, unused, and compliant with relevant South African National Standards (SANS/SABS). Products must retain a minimum validity/shelf life of six months upon delivery.
• Pricing & Validity: Quoted prices must be firm, inclusive of all delivery costs, and remain valid for 90 days. Value Added Tax (VAT) is applicable only to registered vendors.
• Delivery & Submission: Bidders must state their delivery timeframe. Quotes must be completed on official, unretyped forms, placed in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the quotation number, and physically deposited in the designated hospital tender box before the closing time. Electronic or faxed submissions are invalid.

General Conditions of Contract (GCC) & Penalties: Standard government contract terms apply. Delays in delivery trigger financial penalties calculated at the current prime interest rate per day. CSD & Tax Compliance: Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and maintain active SARS tax clearance status. These are mandatory compliance checkpoints; failure to validate them results in automatic disqualification.

Warranty Period: Suppliers guarantee that goods are free from defects in design, materials, or workmanship for twelve months after delivery or acceptance at the final destination, with repair or replacement costs borne by the supplier.
