Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure sterile chloroprene surgical powder-free gloves, specifically designed for use by surgeons with latex allergies, ensuring safety, compliance with standards, and availability of quality surgical gloves.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of sterile, powder-free chloroprene surgical gloves in various sizes (notably sizes 6.5 and 7.0), to be delivered to RK Khan Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement includes the provision of specified quantities, adherence to technical and quality standards, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Technical Requirements

• Gloves must be sterile, powder-free, and made of chloroprene material.
• Surface should be micro-roughened and non-slip for optimal sensitivity.
• Size specifications include 6.5 and 7.0.
• Each box should contain 25 units.
• Gloves must meet relevant standards (e.g., SABS, SANAS, ISO) and be certified accordingly.
• Samples may be required for testing and verification.
• Delivery must be timely, with proper packing to prevent damage during transit.
• Suppliers must provide necessary documentation, including BBBEE certificates and sworn affidavits with SANAS logo.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying medical surgical gloves or similar medical supplies.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and certification processes (SABS, SANAS, ISO).
• Ability to comply with procurement policies, including BBBEE and preferential procurement regulations.
