Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver various signs, including photoluminescent and safety signs, to Estcourt Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure the hospital is equipped with compliant signage that meets occupational health and safety standards, as well as departmental specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of a range of signage items such as exit signs, fire hydrant signs, danger signs, safety signs, and other occupational health and safety related signage. The signage must conform to specified sizes, materials, and quality standards, including SABS approval. The contract is a once-off delivery, with the possibility of providing samples and technical support as required.

Technical Requirements

• Signs must be made of SABS-approved photoluminescent ABS plastic.
• Sign sizes include 190mm x 380mm, 450mm x 450mm, 300mm x 170mm, and 600mm x 450mm, among others.
• Signs should include specific types such as exit, fire hydrant, danger, chemical storage, and safety signs, with detailed specifications attached.
• All signs must meet occupational health and safety audit requirements and comply with relevant standards.
• Signs should be suitable for both internal and external use, with appropriate photoluminescent properties for safety signage.
• Pricing must include VAT where applicable, and all delivery costs.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing or supplying occupational health and safety signage.
• Ability to produce signs that meet SABS standards and specifications.
• Capacity to provide samples for approval prior to full production.
• Technical knowledge of signage materials, sizes, and safety standards.
• Compliance with procurement procedures, including submission of accurate documentation and adherence to evaluation criteria.
• Effective communication skills for enquiries and technical clarifications.
