Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver a surgical kit specifically designed for dorsal slit procedures. The aim is to ensure the hospital receives a standard, quality surgical kit that meets specified requirements to support surgical procedures effectively.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of surgical kits for dorsal slit procedures to Vryheid Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement is a once-off contract, with the kits to be supplied in accordance with the technical specifications and within the specified delivery period.

Technical Requirements

• The surgical kit must conform to the specifications outlined in the attached annexure, including size, colour, material, and quality standards.
• The kit must be new, unused, and incorporate the latest design and material improvements.
• The kit should be packaged to prevent damage during transit and storage, complying with specified packing standards.
• The kit must meet the relevant SANAS/SABS standards.
• Delivery must be made in accordance with the specified delivery period, with all required documentation.
• Samples may be required for inspection and testing to verify compliance with specifications.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying medical and surgical equipment, specifically surgical kits for dorsal slit procedures.
• Compliance with the Department of Health’s procurement policies and standards.
• Ability to provide technical documentation, including product specifications, quality certificates, and compliance proof.
• Capacity to deliver the specified quantity within the stipulated timeframe.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (SANAS/SABS) and quality assurance processes.
• Registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and compliant with tax and supplier verification requirements.
