Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure surgical masks and high-risk gloves that meet specified standards and specifications for use as personal protective equipment (PPE) within the King Cetshwayo District Office, KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of:

• Surgical masks (3-ply, compliant with specified standards, packaged in boxes of 50 units)
• N95 masks (compliant with SABS and NIOSH standards, packaged in boxes of 35 units)
• High-risk gloves (powder-free, suitable for high-risk and gynecological use, packaged in boxes of 25 pairs)

The procurement covers the delivery of these items to the King Cetshwayo District Office, with the contract being a once-off purchase. The items must conform to detailed specifications and quality standards as outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the items include:

• Surgical Masks: 3-ply construction, lightweight, hypoallergenic, with three pleats, ear loops, soft fiber layer, polypropylene filter layer, and packaged in boxes of 50 units.
• N95 Masks: Fluid shield, SABS and NIOSH approved, natural rubber, latex-free, particulate filter respirator, in a case of 10 boxes, with specified size and compliance.
• High-Risk Gloves: Powder-free, suitable for gyne and high-risk areas, extra thick, non-sterilized, made of natural rubber latex, finger ambidextrous, beaded cuff, blue color, sizes large and XL, minimum length 290mm, packaged in boxes of 25 pairs.

All items must meet the relevant safety, quality, and standard specifications, including compliance with SABS, ASTM, and other relevant standards.
