Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver 500 units of Suspension Belts - Above Knee Cuff Belts, suitable for orthopaedic use, specifically designed to keep above knee prostheses firmly in place and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and potential sample provision of the specified belts in various sizes (X-Small to XXXLarge), to the Department of Health's Orthopaedic Services in KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement is a once-off contract with a validity period of 90 days from the advertisement date, with delivery to the specified address in Pietermaritzburg. The tender includes technical specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements as detailed in the attached documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Manufacture of belts from 5mm medical-grade nylon-lined neoprene with Velcro attachments.
• Lower section reinforced with 25mm elastic neoprene for maximum grip.
• Adjustable reinforced elastic waistband with Velcro hook and loop fasteners.
• Size range specifications based on hip circumference and mid-stump measurements.
• Components to be individually packaged and labelled with company logo.
