Objectives

The primary objective is to procure reliable electronic magnetic detection security strips for municipal library books to prevent unauthorized removal. The municipality aims to secure a cost-effective supply that meets standard library security protocols while complying with national preferential procurement regulations that promote black economic empowerment and support local economic development.

Scope

The contract covers the supply and delivery of eight (8) boxes of double-sided adhesive tattle-tape security strips. Delivery must be completed within seven (7) days following the issuance of an official order. The quoted price must include all delivery charges. Quotations remain valid for ninety (90) days from the closing date. Evaluation is conducted on a per-item pricing basis, and the municipality reserves the right to accept part or all of the submitted quotation.

Technical Requirements

• Product Type: Double-sided adhesive tattle-tape security strips designed specifically for books.

• Documentation: Quotations must be submitted on official business letterhead, clearly marked with the RFQ reference number, and include mandatory compliance forms (Declaration of Interest, Preference Points Claim Form, Certificate of Independent Bid Determination), active Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration proof, valid B-BBEE documentation, and verified locality proof.
