Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the telephone network within Blouberg Municipality's head office. The provider will be responsible for resolving network faults, replacing outdated hardware, ensuring system configuration and testing, installing link cables, and reorganizing patch leads to ensure optimal network performance.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Diagnosing and repairing faults in the telephone network.
• Replacing an outdated 24 Port PoE Switch.
• Configuring and testing the telephone system post-repair.
• Installing link cables from the server-room to three different switch rooms.
• Re-organizing and arranging patch lead cables within the server-room and one switch-room.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Provision of a CSD report not older than three months.
• Submission of MBD4, MBD8, and MBD9 documents downloadable from the municipal website.
• Provision of a Master Registration Number, tax compliance status pin, or valid tax clearance certificate.
• Adherence to configuration, testing, and installation specifications as outlined in the scope of work.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from bidders include:

• Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing telephone network faults.
• Technical expertise in configuring network hardware and installing link cables.
• Ability to reorganize and manage patch lead cabling efficiently.
