Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply various items and services required for Maidens Camp, including groceries, livestock, blankets, equipment, and hampers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of:

• 350 grocery items such as soft drinks, flour, yeast, salt, spices, charcoal, firelighters, firewood, and fruit boxes.
• One cow for slaughter and delivery.
• 45 blankets for attendees.
• Hiring of equipment including gas stoves, large pots, and artificial grass carpets.
• 350 hampers containing personal care items for maidens attending the camp.

Deliveries are scheduled around specific dates, with some items required before 16h00 on 25 June 2026, and others on 26 June 2026.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of quality grocery products, with bidders encouraged to quote on the best quality.
• Procurement of fresh livestock (cow) slaughtered, chopped, and delivered as specified.
• Delivery of blankets and hampers in specified quantities and conditions.
• Hiring of specified equipment in good working condition.
• All alterations to quotations must be signed by the bidder, and prices should be fixed post-submission.
• All required documents, such as municipal rates, proof of registration, and tax compliance, must be attached.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications expected from bidders include:

• Registered and compliant with the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Proof of B-BBEE status and ownership credentials.
• Ability to supply quality goods and services as per specifications.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and handle large volume procurement.
• Compliance with tax and legal requirements, including tax clearance and municipal accounts.
• Experience in supplying similar goods and services to government or municipal entities.
