Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply municipal tyres, ensuring the delivery of specified tyre sizes and types to Maphumulo Municipality. The aim is to obtain competitive quotations for the supply and delivery of tyres that meet the municipality's specifications and requirements, supporting municipal operations and infrastructure maintenance.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of various municipal tyres, including sizes such as 315/80R22.5, 275/70R22.5, 265/60R18, 265/65R17, 225/70R17, and 195/R14 C for trailers.
• Delivery to the specified site at the Supply Chain Management Unit, P711 Lot 152, Maphumulo.
• Provision of tyres for municipal lowbeds and other municipal vehicles as per the detailed specifications.
• Adherence to the stipulated delivery periods and pricing conditions.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Tyres must conform to the specified sizes and specifications listed in the tender document.
• Alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder, confirming all changes made.
• All tyres supplied must meet the municipal standards and specifications outlined in the tender.
• Price alterations without signatures will lead to disqualification.
• All relevant documentation, including municipal rates, proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database, and tax compliance certificates, must be attached.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Bidder qualifications and skills requirements include:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a recent report (not older than 3 months).
• Proof of tax compliance, including a TCS PIN or CSD number.
• Submission of a completed and signed Municipal Bidding Document.
• Compliance with preferential procurement points for specific goals such as ownership by South Africans, rural area residents, youth, women, and handicapped persons, supported by relevant proof.
• Declaration of interest and past supply chain management practices, ensuring no restrictions or prohibitions from doing business with the public sector.
• Provision of company details, including name, address, contact information, VAT registration, and B-BBEE status.
• Understanding of bidding procedures and compliance with all terms and conditions outlined in the tender documentation.
