Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a reliable SMS service for Labware LIMS and related systems, ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency over a period of 12 months. The initiative aims to support ERWAT’s ongoing operations by establishing a secure, compliant, and cost-effective messaging solution that enhances system notifications and alerts.

Scope

The scope includes the supply, setup, configuration, and support of an SMS service compatible with Labware LIMS, accessible via HTTPS, and capable of sending formatted strings as per specified Labware codes. The service must include all setup costs, support, and configuration, with work orders generated on an "as and when" basis according to rates tendered. The contract covers a 12-month period, with the possibility of multiple suppliers and optional parameters as detailed in the specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of an SMS service compatible with Labware LIMS, accessible via HTTPS.
• Format of message strings must adhere to Labware code specifications.
• Pricing must include setup, configuration, and support costs.
• Service must support optional parameters and be capable of handling formatted strings as specified.
• Pricing should be rates-based, with no predefined quantities, and work orders issued on an "as and when" basis.
• Provisional sums up to R20,000 may be used for additional, approved requirements.
• Support and configuration must be included in the pricing.

Skills Requirements

• Technical expertise in SMS gateway integration and configuration.
• Experience with Labware LIMS systems and their communication protocols.
• Ability to support HTTPS-based SMS services with secure and reliable delivery.
• Support staff capable of setup, configuration, and ongoing technical support.
• Knowledge of compliance standards, including data security and confidentiality.
