Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a bulk order of gel packs (specifically 400g clear gel packs) for use in temperature-sensitive applications, targeting pharmaceutical and fresh food distributors. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of quality gel packs that meet specified standards, with stable pricing and timely delivery, to support the operational needs of the organization.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of 4,500 boxes of 400g gel packs (150x200mm, clear gel, potable water, cross-linked sodium polyacrylate superabsorbent, polyethylene film).
• Packaging of 25 gel packs per box, with cartons and pallet stacking as specified.
• Storage and handling instructions to maintain product integrity.
• Delivery to be scheduled as per communication from OBP’s distribution department, with prices to remain stable during the contract period.
• Compliance with technical and administrative requirements, including documentation and registration.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the gel packs are as follows:

• Pack size: 25 gel packs per carton
• Weight: 400g (+10g)
• Dimensions: 150mm (±5mm) width x 200mm (±5mm) length
• Color: Clear, no color
• Gel composition: Potable water, cross-linked sodium polyacrylate superabsorbent
• Plastic film: Polyethylene blend, 100 μm thick
• Packaging: Packed in cartons, with pallets stacking 75 boxes per pallet
• Storage conditions: Keep away from direct sunlight and UV light; store in dry, ambient conditions for up to one year
• Intended use: To be packed in cooler boxes for temperature maintenance; not for direct contact with food unless secondary packaging is used

Skills and Administrative Requirements

The supplier must demonstrate:

• Proof of previous supply of similar goods/services within the last 24 months (signed invoices, delivery notes, or reference letters).
• Provision of specifications or catalogues of the quoted gel packs (no internet pictures).
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submission of a tax compliance report.
• Completion and signing of the SBD4 Bidder’s Disclosure form.
• Compliance with all compulsory documentation requirements; failure to submit these will result in disqualification.
• Understanding of delivery timelines and stability of pricing during the contract period.
• Ability to provide technical support and adhere to storage and handling instructions.
