Objectives

The primary objective is to procure high-quality medical torque devices specifically engineered for guide wire manipulation during clinical interventions at Greys Hospital. The procurement seeks to ensure the timely delivery of compliant, new equipment while adhering to provincial health supply chain regulations and transformation mandates through structured preferential procurement.

Scope

This tender covers the one-off supply of ten (10) units of torque devices. The scope encompasses end-to-end delivery to the designated hospital facility, provision of a manufacturer’s warranty, physical sample submission for quality verification, and strict adherence to administrative, technical, and financial compliance frameworks. The quotation remains valid for ninety (90) days, and all delivery-related costs must be fully incorporated into the submitted pricing.

Technical Requirements

• Product Specifications: Devices must precisely match the .14" and .045" diameter measurements specified for guide wire applications in medical interventions.
• Quality & Condition: Only brand-new, unused items are accepted. Products must retain a minimum shelf life of six months upon delivery. Expired or second-hand goods will result in immediate disqualification.
• Compliance & Testing: Items must conform to recognized South African or international medical device standards. The procuring authority reserves the right to conduct inspections, tests, or audits. Physical samples must be submitted as a mandatory evaluation criterion; failure to comply leads to rejection.
• Warranty: A mandatory warranty of twelve (12) months post-delivery or eighteen (18) months post-shipment (whichever expires first) is required, covering defects in design, materials, or workmanship.
• Documentation: Complete official quotation forms, SBD declarations (including conflict of interest disclosure), Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration, and SARS tax clearance verification are compulsory.
