Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure training services for basic road marking and line painting using roller and brush application methods. The training aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform surface preparation, equipment familiarization, line painting techniques, stencil application, paint application, safety, regulatory compliance, and practical application related to road marking.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of training on basic road marking and line painting techniques.
• Course content covering introduction to road markings, surface preparation, equipment familiarization, line painting techniques, stencil use, paint application, safety, and practical application.
• Delivery of training to a specified number of learners, with certificates of competence issued upon completion.
• Provision of training materials, certificates (laminated), and ensuring the training is valid until 30 June 2027.
• Adherence to specified technical and skills requirements as outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Course content must include: introduction to road markings, surface preparation, equipment familiarization, line painting techniques, stencil use, paint application, safety, regulatory compliance, and practical application.
• Facilitator must have at least 3 to 4 years of relevant previous experience in facilitating similar training, with proof provided via CV and references.
• Service provider must provide three written references demonstrating at least 4 years of experience (no references prior to 2015 accepted).
• Pricing must be per person, with actual attendance basis for payment.
• Certificates of competence must be laminated and issued after training completion.
• Prices must include VAT and remain valid until 30 June 2027.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Proven experience in facilitating road marking or similar technical training, with a minimum of 3-4 years.
• Ability to deliver comprehensive training covering technical and safety aspects of road marking.
• Capability to provide certified, laminated certificates of competence to participants.
• Experience in preparing and delivering training on surface preparation, equipment use, paint application, and safety regulations.
• Compliance with all technical, safety, and regulatory standards as specified in the tender documentation.
