Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure cleaning services for the Tsineng Periodical Court located in Kimberley, for a duration of 24 months. The services include cleaning the building for 8 days per month, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the contract period.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of comprehensive cleaning services, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly cleaning tasks as specified in the detailed specifications. It covers cleaning of all areas within the court premises such as offices, courts, cells, toilets, corridors, windows, and external pavements. The contractor is responsible for supplying all cleaning materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to perform the services as per the contract requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of cleaning services for 8 days per month over 24 months.
• Cleaning to include disinfecting floors, door handles, toilets, and other surfaces at specified frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly).
• Use of approved cleaning materials and equipment, maintained in good working condition.
• Provision of hygiene services such as touch-free dispensers, toilet paper, hand soap, and disinfectant wipes, including maintenance and refills.
• Adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Compliance with specified standards for cleaning procedures, including disinfection, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and waste removal.
• Supply of all necessary cleaning materials, equipment, and personnel at the contractor’s cost.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in providing cleaning and hygiene services in institutional or government premises.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards, disinfectants, and hygiene protocols, especially related to COVID-19 safety measures.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment and hygiene dispensers.
• Capacity to manage and supervise cleaning staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Competence in handling cleaning chemicals safely and in compliance with health regulations.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with the department and reporting on service delivery.
• Ability to supply and manage cleaning materials and equipment in accordance with specifications and schedule.
