Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply uniforms, including khaki shirts, trousers, and socks, for the Malaria Control Programme in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure that field workers and operational staff are equipped with standardized, durable, and compliant uniforms that meet specified quality and safety standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various uniform items, specifically:

• Khaki short-sleeve shirts with health logo and shoulder straps for epaulets
• Khaki trousers with specified features
• Long black socks, suitable for PPE and spraying activities
• Short khaki socks for field workers

The items must conform to detailed specifications, including material composition, design features, and sizes. The procurement covers the entire process from order to delivery, including sample submission and compliance verification.

Technical Requirements

• Uniforms must meet the detailed specifications provided, including:
  • Khaki color, 100% cotton material
  • Inclusion of the KZN Health logo on shirts
  • Design features such as shoulder straps for epaulets, front pockets, zip fly for trousers
  • Socks made from breathable, anti-bacterial stretch fabric, in specified colors and sizes
• Samples of each item must be submitted for approval before full order processing.
• Items must conform to quality standards and specifications attached in the tender documents.
• Delivery must be timely, with adherence to the specified delivery schedule.
• All items must be new, unused, and of the latest models with all recent design improvements.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in manufacturing or supplying uniforms and PPE for health or similar sectors.
• Ability to produce high-quality garments that meet detailed specifications and standards.
• Capability to provide samples and ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
• Efficient logistics and delivery management to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, including submission of accurate documentation, compliance with regulations, and quality assurance.
• Capacity to handle large-volume orders and maintain consistent quality across all items.
• Ability to provide after-sales support, including warranty services and replacement of defective items.
