Scope

This is a once-off supply contract covering the provision and delivery of nurse theatre uniforms across six distinct sizes: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large, and XXX-Large. Quantities are allocated per size on the official price page. The scope includes the manufacturing or sourcing of garments, submission of physical samples for scrutiny, full delivery to the designated hospital facility, and compliance with all administrative, financial, and technical stipulations. The quotation remains valid for 90 days, and the contract period is single-instance with no automatic renewal.

Technical Requirements

• Fabric & Material: 100% pre-shrunk cotton conforming to SABS 1401 Parts 1 & 3 (1983) Type P48 standards, with a minimum thread count of 140.
• Colour: Specific Jade Green shade (CKS 129-40c).
• Construction: Collarless V-neck design (maximum 23cm depth from back of neck), self-fabric neck facing (4.25cm finished), French-seamed sides, double-stitched raised seams, and M80 mercerised thread (5 stitches per 10mm).
• Dimensions & Features: Hemmed sleeves (1.25cm) measuring 50cm wide at the hem and 54cm at the inset; bottom hem of 5cm; right-side patch pocket; dye-fast size tab indicating item number and dimensions.
• Branding: Black 20mm “KZN” lettering across the entire face, plus official KZN Health branding printed on each garment.
• Quality & Compliance: Goods must be new, unused, and have a minimum six-month shelf life remaining. Physical samples are mandatory prior to award. Proof of SABS/SANS approval is required, along with valid SAHPRA authorization if the uniform is classified as a medical device.
