Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to render cleaning services at Ventersburg Magistrate Office for a period of 36 months, ensuring a clean, hygienic, and well-maintained environment in accordance with specified standards and contractual obligations.

Scope

The scope encompasses comprehensive cleaning services at Ventersburg Magistrate Office, including but not limited to dusting, cleaning open areas, blinds, doors, windows (interior and exterior), entrance and reception areas, meeting rooms, hallways, toilets, kitchens, furniture, floors (various types), elevators, and other designated areas. The contractor is responsible for supplying all necessary labour, equipment, cleaning materials, and consumables, and ensuring adherence to specified service levels and safety standards over the 36-month period.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of cleaning services as per detailed specifications, including daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• Supply and maintenance of all cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery, including high-rise window cleaning equipment and carpet washing machines.
• Supply of all cleaning consumables, approved and non-harmful, including toilet paper, disinfectants, detergents, and safety gear.
• Adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including risk assessments, PPE, signage, and incident reporting.
• Implementation of quality control measures, supervision, and reporting mechanisms.
• Compliance with labour laws, minimum wages, and fair employment practices.
• Participation in site inspections, meetings, and adherence to contractual breach and termination clauses.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Proven experience in providing cleaning services to government or similar institutional facilities.
• Qualified supervisory staff with relevant experience in cleaning operations and safety management.
• Competency in operating and maintaining cleaning machinery, including high-rise window washers and carpet cleaners.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, including OHS Act, PPE requirements, and hazard management.
• Ability to supply and manage all cleaning materials, equipment, and safety gear compliant with SABS standards.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage labour, including supervision, replacement staffing, and training.
• Capability to implement quality assurance, reporting, and compliance with contractual and legislative standards.
