Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure a service provider for the provisioning of cleaning services at Vioolsdrift Periodical Court for a period of 36 months. The aim is to ensure the building is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and safe condition throughout the contract duration.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of comprehensive cleaning services for the Vioolsdrift Periodical Court, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual cleaning tasks. It covers cleaning of all areas within the court premises such as offices, courts, cells, corridors, toilets, kitchens, pavements, and external surroundings, as well as the supply of cleaning materials and equipment. The contract duration is 36 months, with specified service frequencies and detailed cleaning specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of all cleaning materials and equipment necessary for efficient service delivery, maintained in clean and working condition.
• Adherence to specified cleaning frequencies: daily (disinfection, dusting, sweeping), weekly (walls, brass, carpets), monthly (floors, walls, fixtures), quarterly (glass, furniture), and semi-annual (carpet shampooing).
• Use of approved disinfectants, cleaning agents, and equipment compliant with health and safety standards.
• Implementation of safety measures including signage, PPE, and proper handling of chemicals.
• Personnel must wear uniforms with company logos, ID tags, and adhere to specified dress codes and conduct.
• Regular supervision, inspections, and reporting to ensure compliance with contractual standards.
• Compliance with relevant Acts such as Occupational Health and Safety Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in cleaning and sanitation services, preferably in government or similar institutional environments.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning machinery and tools.
• Competence in managing and supervising cleaning staff, ensuring adherence to standards and schedules.
• Capability to supply and manage cleaning materials, including inventory control and timely replenishment.
• Effective communication skills for reporting, coordination, and compliance monitoring.
• Understanding of environmental and safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous substances.
