Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver warning labels, including pharmaceutical warning labels and associated packaging, to Catherine Booth Hospital. The aim is to ensure the hospital has adequate warning labels for pharmaceutical use, complying with specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of:

• 5000 tablet/capsule bags (104mm x 120mm) in bail
• Pharmaceutical warning labels, including various caution and direction labels with specific background colors and messages, in rolls of 1000

The labels are intended for pharmacy use, with detailed specifications including size, color, and content as per the attached documentation. Delivery is once-off to Catherine Booth Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, within the contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Supply of 5000 tablet/capsule bags (104mm x 120mm) in bail
• Supply of pharmaceutical warning labels in rolls of 1000, with specific messages and background colors such as red, yellow, orange, lime, pink, purple, green, and blue, as detailed in the specification form
• Labels must conform to specified size, color, and content standards, including compliance with relevant standards (SABS/SANS)
• Labels should be of quality suitable for pharmaceutical use, with the possibility of sample submission if required
• Delivery must be timely, complete, and in accordance with the specifications provided

Skills Requirements

The skills and expertise required from bidders include:

• Proven experience in manufacturing or supplying pharmaceutical labels and packaging materials
• Ability to produce labels that meet detailed specifications, including size, color, and content accuracy
• Knowledge of relevant standards (SABS/SANS) for pharmaceutical labels
• Capacity to deliver large quantities within specified timeframes
