Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure workshop items as per attached specifications and addendums for Townhill Hospital. The procurement aims to ensure the supply and delivery of specified hardware and workshop items that meet quality standards, conform to technical specifications, and support maintenance and operational needs of the hospital.

Scope

The scope includes the supply, delivery, and potential installation of various workshop and hardware items such as doors, hinges, clamping devices, kitchen mixers, sewage rods, hoses, vacuum cleaners, staple guns, steel bars, discs, paints, bolts, and other related items as detailed in the specifications and addendums. The procurement covers items listed in the item schedule, with quantities and specifications as specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that all supplied items must:

• Conform to the detailed specifications provided in the annexures and addendums, including size, material, and quality standards.
• Meet relevant SABS or SANS approval standards where applicable.
• Be of the highest quality, suitable for maintenance and operational use in a hospital environment.
• Include items such as solid doors, brass hinges, clamping devices, mixers, sewage rods, hoses, vacuum cleaners, staple guns, steel bars, discs, primers, bolts, and masonry bits.
• Be supplied with appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit.
• Be delivered within the specified delivery period, with compliance to the specifications and standards outlined.

Skills and Competency Requirements

Bidder must demonstrate:

• Capability to supply and deliver the specified hardware and workshop items as per technical specifications.
• Provision of proof that items meet SABS or SANS standards and approvals.
• Experience in supplying similar hardware items to healthcare or institutional facilities.
• Ability to provide samples for evaluation if required, and to meet quality standards.
• Knowledge of relevant procurement policies, including compliance with the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022.
• Capacity to adhere to delivery timelines and provide after-sales support or technical assistance if necessary.
