Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 300 boxes of DRAWTEX WOUND DRESSING (15x20cm) for King Dinuzulu Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, to meet their wound care needs. The procurement aims to ensure the hospital receives high-quality, sterile, and compliant wound dressings that promote wound healing and meet specified standards.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of 300 boxes of Drawtex wound dressings, each containing 10 units, conforming to detailed specifications. The procurement covers the entire process from submission of samples and documentation to delivery at the specified hospital address. It also involves compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory standards, including SAHPRA certification and international standards such as ISO 13485, FDA, CE Marking.

Technical Requirements

• Wound dressing must be super absorbent with triple action: hydrocapillary, electrostatic, and Leva Fiber Technology.
• Effective management of exudate, layered use, debridement ability, bacteria removal, and infection risk reduction.
• Non-adherent, sterile, individually peel-packed with clear outer packaging description.
• Compliance with local and international standards including ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA, CE Mark.
• Size: 15 x 20 cm, packaged in boxes of 10 units each.
• Product must be SAHPRA certified.
• Samples must be submitted with the quotation for evaluation.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate capacity to deliver the specified quantity and meet technical specifications.
• Provide proof of previous orders and successful delivery of similar products to government or healthcare institutions.
• Submit samples for technical evaluation; failure to do so will disqualify the bid.
• Complete all mandatory documentation, including valid SAHPRA license, CSD compliance, B-BBEE certificate (if applicable), and tax clearance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, including preference points and declaration of interest.
• Attach detailed specifications, brochures, and sample products as required.
