Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider to investigate, identify, and seal leaks at the National Archives and Records of South Africa (NARSSA). The service aims to reinforce repaired sections to prevent recurrence of leaks, ensuring the preservation and integrity of the archives.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Conducting a compulsory site visit at the National Archives of South Africa, 24 Hamilton St, Pretoria.
• Investigating the source and extent of leaks within the facility.
• Identifying appropriate sealing solutions to address the leaks.
• Reinforcing repaired sections to prevent future leaks.
• Providing necessary documentation and reports related to the investigation and sealing process.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the service provider include:

• Reinforcement of repaired sections to prevent recurrence of leaks.
• Mandatory site inspection organized prior to quotation submission.
• Provision of documentation confirming previous requests for similar services, if applicable.
• Adherence to the specified scope of investigation, identification, and sealing of leaks.

Note: The department does not provide tools of trade to service providers, so all necessary equipment must be supplied by the bidder.
