Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure appliances suitable for education spaces at Iziko Museums of South Africa. The aim is to acquire various electrical appliances, including refrigerators, microwaves, kettles, and display units, to enhance the functionality and comfort of educational environments.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the supply of the following items:

• Small Bar Fridge (90-92 litres, White) – 2 units
• Fridge (240-280 litres, White) – 4 units
• Electronic Microwave Ovens (30-34 litres, Silver) – 6 units
• Cordless Stainless Steel Kettle (4.2 litres, Silver) – 6 units
• Mobile TV Stand for 32, 70, 75 inch TVs (Black, on wheels) – 2 units

The appliances must meet the specified sizes, colours, and quantities as detailed in the tender documentation. The selected supplier will be responsible for delivering and installing these items at the designated site.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Provision of appliances that conform to the specified sizes, colours, and quantities.
• Submission of all compliance documentation, including:
• Central Supplier Database (CSD) report with supplier number and company details
• Tax Status Verification Pin and tax registration number
• Valid B-BBEE certificate or Sworn Affidavit indicating B-BBEE status level
• Detailed pricing schedule inclusive of VAT and any additional costs (e.g., transport, installation)
• Quotation validity period of at least 60 days from the closing date.
• Adherence to the evaluation criteria based on an 80/20 preference points system, with 80% weight on price and 20% on specific goals (e.g., B-BBEE status).
• Compliance with the procurement policies, including declaration of interests, non-collusion, and adherence to the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
• Delivery and installation of appliances within the stipulated timeframe, with formal contractual arrangements post-award.
