The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable and qualified pool/panel of nine (9) external quality assurance inspectors to conduct assessments, accreditation, and monitoring visits across various sites nationally.   • Engaging in site visits and inspections on an adhoc basis as required.
  • Providing expertise and support to maintain quality standards across the national footprint.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

  • Possession of an ETD qualification, verified by SAQA if international.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in external inspections, moderation, verification, or related quality assurance activities with SETAs, ETQAs, or government training institutions.
  • Provision of signed reference letters from clients demonstrating completed relevant assignments.
  • Experience in undertaking external inspections, moderation, verification for learner results endorsement, monitoring, and assessment.
  • Availability to work from appointment date until 31 March 2030.
  • Adherence to SASSETA’s reporting and reporting timelines, including submitting reports within seven (7) working days after each visit.
  • Compliance with confidentiality and data protection laws, including signing confidentiality agreements.

  • Extensive experience in external quality assurance activities such as inspections, moderation, verification, and assessment within the skills development environment.
