Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a Key Individual for KGF Capital for a duration of 12 months. The appointed individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and supporting the operational and regulatory functions of KGF Capital.

Scope

The scope of services includes:

• Appointment and debarment of representatives of KGF Capital.
• Drafting development plans and supervision reports for representatives.
• Monitoring financial services rendered by representatives.
• Maintaining the register of representatives.
• Liaising with representatives, service providers, FSCA, and other FSPs.
• Establishing and maintaining the compliance function to ensure adherence to the FAIS Act and subordinate legislation.
• Ensuring operational and financial stability of KGF Capital.
• Implementing internal control structures and risk management measures.
• Handling complaints effectively and fairly.

Technical Requirements

The successful bidder must provide a Key Individual who:

• Is FSCA approved with experience in Private Equity.
• Has a Category II FSB registration and relevant qualifications.
• Possesses at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Provides a detailed CV demonstrating experience and qualifications.
• Submits proof of qualifications, including RE1, RE3, and RE5 certificates.
• Provides reference letters or testimonials confirming experience as a Key Individual.
• Has an office in KwaZulu-Natal (preferred) or outside KZN with appropriate proof (lease agreement or municipal bill).

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of the FAIS Act and financial compliance frameworks.
• Experience in managing or supervising financial services and representatives.
• Ability to establish and maintain compliance functions.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with regulators, service providers, and internal teams.
• Proven track record in private equity and financial service management.
• Capability to monitor risks, handle complaints, and ensure operational stability.
