Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of up to five (5) service providers to supply and deliver electrical stock items to the Main Store on an as-and-when-required basis over a period of 36 months. The aim is to enhance service delivery to the community in accordance with the municipality's mandate, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality supply of electrical stock items.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of electrical stock items to the Main Store in Randfontein and Westonaria.
• Provision of electrical stock items as specified in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
• Delivery on an as-and-when-required basis over the 36-month contract period.
• Potential appointment of more than one service provider to ensure adequate supply and service coverage.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications mandate that all supplied items must:

• Bear the SABS mark or Eskom approval.
• Conform to the quantities indicated in the BoQ, which are for evaluation purposes and may be adjusted based on actual stock requirements.
• Meet the standards and specifications outlined in the tender documents and project specifications.
• Be supplied in accordance with the delivery schedule and documentation requirements specified in the contract.
• Include all necessary packing to prevent damage during transit and storage.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Ownership or leasing arrangements for delivery vehicles and equipment, supported by proof such as vehicle registration or letters of intent.
• Previous experience in delivering electrical stock items to municipal or governmental institutions within the past five years, evidenced by signed and stamped delivery notes.
• Capability to meet the administrative and compliance requirements, including valid BBBEE certificates, tax compliance, and CSD registration.
• Financial capacity, especially for tenders exceeding R10 million, supported by audited financial statements for the past three years.
• Ability to adhere to the procurement policies, including local content thresholds and social responsibility levies.
• Availability of infrastructure and resources necessary for timely delivery and service provision.
