Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of up to five (5) service providers to deliver catering services on an as-and-when-required basis for a period of 24 months within the Steve Tshwete municipal region.

Scope

The scope involves providing catering services as specified by the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality. The selected service providers will be engaged periodically over the 24-month contract duration, based on the municipality's requirements. The tender encompasses the procurement process, evaluation, and appointment of suitable catering service providers to meet the municipality's needs.

Technical Requirements

• Submission of all compulsory documentation, including:
  • Company registration certificate (CK)
  • Current municipal account or lease agreement (not older than 3 months)
  • Certified copy of valid Certificate of Food Acceptability
  • Joint Venture Agreement (if applicable), registered on CSD
  • Printed Tax compliance status Pin (optional)
  • Share certificates and medical certificates (if necessary, optional)
  • All relevant forms duly completed
• Compliance with the municipal and national legislative requirements, including the Municipal Finance Management Act.
• Demonstration of necessary skills, experience, and capacity to perform catering services.
• Participation in a non-compulsory clarification meeting scheduled for 02/06/2026.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience and capacity in providing catering services.
• Ability to meet the technical specifications and quality standards set by the municipality.
• Capacity to supply services as and when required over the 24-month period.
• Understanding of municipal procurement processes and compliance with relevant policies.
• Skills in documentation, record-keeping, and adherence to health and safety standards, including food acceptability certification.
