Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of qualified service providers responsible for the manufacture, supply, and delivery of nurses’ uniforms to the Eastern Cape Department of Health Institutions. The contract duration is set for 36 months, aiming to ensure a consistent and quality supply of uniforms to meet the department's needs.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Manufacturing of nurses’ uniforms as specified by the department.
• Supply and delivery of the uniforms to designated health institutions within the Eastern Cape.
• Provision of services for a period of 36 months, with potential for renewal or extension based on performance and departmental requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements are outlined in the annexed schedules, including:

• Designated products must meet specified standards and specifications.
• Compliance with local content declarations, ensuring a specified percentage of local content in the manufacturing process.
• Accurate documentation of imported content, including imported materials and components, supported by Annex D and E schedules.
• Adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and proper packaging for distribution.

Skills Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:

• Manufacturing expertise in producing nurses’ uniforms that meet quality and safety standards.
• Supply chain and logistics management skills to ensure timely delivery.
• Ability to document and verify local and imported content accurately, including compliance with local content declarations.
• Financial and administrative skills to manage procurement, invoicing, and reporting requirements.
• Experience in working with government health departments or similar institutions is preferred.
