Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a reputable service provider to conduct various maintenance works at the Pixley Ka Seme District Depot in De Aar. The goal is to ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of assets at the depot, supporting the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture's operational needs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Carrying out various maintenance activities at the Pixley Ka Seme District Depot located at 17 Schreiner Street, De Aar.
• Performing asset maintenance as per the detailed specifications and scope of work outlined in the tender documents.
• Providing all necessary services, materials, and labor to complete the maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Compliance with all specifications detailed in the scope of work and specifications document.
• Provision of proof of relevant CIDB grading (e.g., Grade 1 – General Building and Mechanical Engineering).
• Submission of valid tax clearance and SARS tax compliance status PIN.
• Demonstration of experience in similar maintenance projects, including reference letters and project details.
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993, including submission of a Health and Safety Plan if requested.
• Provision of necessary permits, licenses, and certifications such as electrical or refrigeration certificates where applicable.
• Adherence to the Department’s procurement and contractual conditions, including submission of all required documentation and certificates.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience and proven track record in executing maintenance works of similar scope and complexity.
• Qualified personnel with relevant skills, certifications, and experience in maintenance, electrical, plumbing, roofing, fencing, and related trades.
• Capability to manage and coordinate multiple maintenance activities simultaneously.
• Ability to comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
• Capacity to provide technical support, supervision, and quality assurance throughout the project duration.
• Availability of sufficient human resources, including CVs and proof of qualifications for key personnel.
• Financial capacity to undertake the scope of work, demonstrated through previous completed projects and relevant financial documentation.
