Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to carry out construction, repainting, and waterproofing works at the National Lotteries Commission premises in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure through comprehensive repairs, maintenance, and waterproofing to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with relevant standards within a one-month period.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of all labor, materials, plant, equipment, and supervision necessary for construction, repainting, and waterproofing activities.
• Site preparation, including safety signage and temporary protective measures.
• Inspection of gutters and pre-existing issues such as leaks, cracks, rust, or loose plaster.
• Construction and repair works, including door replacements, aluminum window installations, and crack repairs.
• Waterproofing of slabs, box gutters, and roof areas.
• Repainting of internal and external walls, woodwork, metal surfaces, boundary walls, flower beds, and roofs.
• Installation of safety files, debris removal, waste disposal, and submission of as-built drawings.
• Provision of contingency measures and project completion documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• The project must meet all listed specifications, including detailed window, door, and wall painting standards.
• All work must comply with the relevant standards, including the CIDB contractor grading designation of 1SN and 2GB or higher.
• Waterproofing must be performed on specified surfaces such as slabs, gutters, and roofs using approved materials and techniques.
• Repainting must adhere to specified colors, finishes, and surface preparation procedures.
• All safety, health, and environmental regulations must be strictly followed throughout the project.
• Work must be completed within the stipulated one-month period, with adherence to quality and safety standards.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• CIDB registration with a contractor grading designation of 1SN and 2GB or higher.
• Experience in construction, repainting, and waterproofing projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Qualified personnel with relevant skills, qualifications, and experience in construction, waterproofing, and painting.
• Ability to undertake site inspections, identify issues, and execute repairs effectively.
• Capacity to provide project management, safety compliance, and quality assurance throughout the contract duration.
• Provision of references and proof of previous successful projects in similar fields.
