Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver First Aid Level One training to twenty (20) departmental employees in or around King Williams Town / Bisho over a period of two (2) days. The training aims to equip employees with essential first aid skills to manage emergency situations, prevent injuries, and potentially save lives, thereby supporting workplace safety and operational continuity.

Scope

The scope of the project includes:

• Provision of training on First Aid Level One for twenty (20) departmental employees.
• Delivery of training at a suitable venue in or around King Williams Town / Bisho.
• Provision of necessary training facilities and tools, including classroom setup, training materials, and equipment.
• Provision of catering services, including morning tea, lunch, and refreshments throughout the training days.
• Facilitation of the training by qualified trainers with relevant experience and accreditation.
• Issuance of Certificates of Competency upon successful completion of the training.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the service provider include:

• Venue equipped with tools such as overhead projectors, flip charts, extension cords, and notepads.
• Provision of training manuals, presentation charts, and slides aligned with the First Aid Level One curriculum.
• Facilitator(s) must possess relevant qualifications, including a Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Emergency Medical Care, Paramedic, or First Aid, accredited by a recognized SETA.
• Proof of at least one (1) successful First Aid Level 1 training assignment within the past three (3) years, with verifiable references.
• Training venue must be classroom-like, accessible, and located within the Eastern Cape, with proof of locality (e.g., municipal bill, lease agreement).
• Provision of catering services as specified, including refreshments and full meals.
• Training materials and tools must be brought by the facilitator, including laptops, manuals, and extension cords.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Experience in delivering First Aid Level One training, supported by reference letters from previous clients.
• Qualified facilitators with valid certifications in Emergency Medical Care, Paramedic, or First Aid.
• Ability to develop and implement a detailed methodology aligned with the terms of reference, including clear timeframes.
• Operational capacity to provide suitable venues and facilities that meet the specified requirements.
• Proven track record of successful training assignments within the last three years.
• Local presence within the Eastern Cape or proof of operational capability in the region.
