Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider responsible for the supply and delivery of promotional items to PRASA in the Eastern Cape region. The engagement is for a period of 36 months on an as-and-when-required basis, aiming to support PRASA’s branding, marketing, and promotional activities through the provision of various promotional products.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of a wide range of promotional items such as branded accessories, stationery, health and wellness products, and other marketing materials. The items listed in the pricing schedule encompass lanyards, mugs, herbal tea sachets, lip balm, petroleum jelly, skipping ropes, leaflets, wristbands, disinfectant wipes, yoga mats, resistance bands, stress balls, keyholders, pill organizers, diffusers, label makers, and other branded merchandise. The service provider must ensure timely delivery within specified periods across three years, adhering to the specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of a variety of promotional items as detailed in the pricing schedule, including branded merchandise with PRASA logos and specifications.
• Items must meet quality standards, such as durable labels, high-density yoga mats, and effective disinfectant products.
• Branded products should be produced with specified branding elements, colors, and logos as per PRASA’s branding guidelines.
• Delivery within the agreed timeframe, with the earliest possible delivery period specified by the supplier.
• Compliance with all applicable health, safety, and quality standards.
• Proper packaging and labeling of all items for safe transportation and handling.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in sourcing, manufacturing, or supplying promotional and branded merchandise.
• Ability to produce high-quality promotional products that meet specified branding and quality standards.
• Strong logistics and supply chain management skills to ensure timely delivery across the Eastern Cape region.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to the products supplied, especially for health-related items like disinfectants and wellness products.
• Capacity to manage large volumes of diverse promotional items over an extended period (36 months).
• Proficiency in compliance with legal, tax, and procurement regulations, including tax compliance and registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
