Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider responsible for the partitioning and office alterations of Block A at Harry Gwala Development Agency. The project aims to reconfigure existing office layouts to create a functional, modern, and conducive working environment that supports the Agency’s operational needs while ensuring optimal space utilization.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply, installation, and construction of office partitions.
• Refurbishment works and associated building improvements.
• Installation of five (5) 9000Btu mid-wall split units.
• Reconfiguration of existing office layouts across three offices.
• Planning, design coordination, supervision, and project completion in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.

The service provider will be responsible for delivering the entire project, including planning, design, implementation, supervision, and ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the project include:

• Provision of office partitioning systems that are supply-tested and compliant with industry standards.
• Installation of partitions with framework, jointing, trimming, and a smooth skim finish ready for painting.
• Installation of air conditioning units (five 9000Btu mid-wall split units).
• Adherence to all applicable building regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated relevant experience in similar office alteration and partitioning projects.
• Provision of a detailed project cost breakdown, including VAT, with a total bid price.

Skills and Skills Requirements

The tender specifies that the service provider must demonstrate:

• Relevant Experience: Proven track record in completing office renovation, partitioning, or similar built environment projects within the last five years, supported by appointment letters or completion certificates.
• Technical Expertise: Skilled personnel with experience in office partitioning, refurbishment, and installation of HVAC units.
• Project Management: Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise the project effectively, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
• Team Qualifications: A project team led by a qualified individual with a minimum of four years’ experience in similar projects, including relevant qualifications and SACPCMP registration.
• Resource Availability: Adequate resources, equipment, and personnel to deliver the project to the required standards.

Additionally, bidders must complete all mandatory forms, provide proof of relevant experience, and demonstrate capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe.
