Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply ambulance services at Golden Gate Highlands National Park, Clarens, Free State. The successful bidder will provide medical standby and response services during specific events, including a period from 16:00 on Friday, 5 September 2025, until 13:00 on Sunday, 7 September 2025, to support the Gauteng Provincial Legislature Ladies Wellness Team and associated activities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of one Advanced Life Support (ALS) practitioner and one Basic Life Support (BLS) practitioner.
• Supply of one ambulance staffed by the above personnel, equipped and roadworthy, with valid certificates of fitness.
• Deployment of the ambulance and staff on-site during the specified period to provide emergency medical response and standby services.
• Make allowances for off-site accommodation or travel time during the event period.

The service provider must ensure readiness to respond to emergencies involving participants engaged in various activities such as sports and team-building exercises, with varying fitness levels.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications and mandatory requirements for the ambulance services include:

• Provision of personnel with qualifications in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
• Proof of Professional Drivers Permit (PDP) for the ambulance driver.
• Valid roadworthy certificate and certificate of fitness (CF) for the ambulance.
• Compliance with the National Health Act 61 of 2003 and related health and safety standards.
• Provision of a detailed pricing schedule, including costs for the ALS practitioner, BLS practitioner, and ambulance services, excluding VAT.
• Submission of compliance and governance verification documents, including B-BBEE status or sworn affidavit, and proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Adherence to the evaluation criteria based on price and specific goals, including local supplier status and BBBEE level.

Additional technical considerations include ensuring timely deployment, adherence to legal and safety standards, and the ability to provide services during the specified event window.
