Objectives

The primary objective of this RFQ is to appoint a service provider responsible for the servicing and maintenance of She Bins at Luthuli Museum over a period of twelve (12) months. The goal is to ensure all She Bins are serviced twice a month to maintain hygienic conditions in the museum's toilet facilities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Servicing She Bins across various toilets within the Luthuli Museum.
• Providing a service schedule indicating servicing dates and activities.
• Assigning dedicated personnel or teams to perform scheduled servicing.
• Implementing health and safety measures during service delivery.
• Developing and submitting a Waste Management Plan aligned with legislation (e.g., National Environmental Management: Waste Act).
• Providing a Risk Management Plan to address potential risks associated with She Bin maintenance.
• Ensuring logistical support with adequate resources, including labor, tools, and consumables, to meet contractual obligations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the service provider include:

• Performing sanitary bin servicing twice a month, including liner replacement and cleaning.
• Using a set colour range to indicate serviced and changed liners.
• Providing a detailed service schedule and methodology for the scope of work.
• Submitting valid permits for waste disposal sites.
• Demonstrating capacity to allocate sufficient resources (equipment, vehicles, personnel) for continuous service delivery.
• Developing comprehensive Waste and Risk Management Plans.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in hygiene services, specifically in sanitary bin servicing, with proven track records over the last five years.
• Capability to provide references from previous clients confirming experience and quality of service.
• Company capacity, including resources such as equipment, vehicles, and trained personnel, to execute the scope of work effectively.
• Ability to develop and implement detailed methodologies and operational plans.
• Knowledge of waste management legislation and environmental health standards.
• Capacity to prepare and submit comprehensive Waste and Risk Management Plans.
