Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to assist with the purchasing and delivery of kitchen surplus items. The service provider will be responsible for sourcing specified kitchen products, ensuring their delivery, and supporting the efficient management of surplus supplies.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supplying and delivering specified kitchen surplus items such as tea bags, coffee, creamer, milk, sugar, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Providing procurement support for the purchase of these items according to specified standards and specifications.
• Ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
• Entering into a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the client to define performance standards and contractual obligations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of specific kitchen items such as:
• Boxes of Rooibos tea bags (160 tea bags per box)
• Boxes of Five Roses tea bags (102 tea bags per box)
• Creamer (750g)
• Bottles of Jacobs coffee/equivalent (200g)
• Bottles of Nescafe coffee/equivalent (200g)
• Full cream milk (1L)
• Brown sugar (2kg)
• Electronic urn (28 liters)
• Kitchen utensils including teaspoons, dessert spoons, table forks, and knives
• Serving trays and storage sets as specified
• Microwave oven (20L, 700W)
• Compliance with delivery timelines and quality standards.
• Adherence to procurement policies and regulations.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must demonstrate:

• Experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in sourcing kitchen or catering supplies.
• Proven track record of delivering similar services in the public or private sector.
• Ability to manage logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance standards.
• Capacity to establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
• Capability to develop and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Financial stability and capacity to support procurement activities.
